Training Programmes

A Brighter Future programmes range from half day workshops just for fun, to full-year accredited programmes.

Each programme is designed to meet the needs of your group and uses creative business practice as a medium to develop skills, knowledge and motivation.

Programmes can be designed to meet the particular needs of your group, or you can choose from our standard range which includes:

Youth Engagement

Excite & re-engage learners who are not thriving in mainstream education with this practical & inspirational programme.

Participants will develop craft design & construction skills, then put them to use producing high-quality items to be sold through a micro-enterprise established and run by the group.

The focus is firmly on setting & achieving goals and on identifying the transferable skills, knowledge and aptitudes which will help each young person to move towards their dream.

Participants are encouraged to identify and learn from positive role models. Accreditation / 1-2-1 mentoring can be provided as part of this programme if required.

Enterprise & Employability Skills

Challenge your 14-19 learners with real-life enterprise experiences.

Participants use the medium of jewellery / accessories to explore how business works, what must happen if an enterprise is to succeed and how to make a profit.

Programmes range from a one-day enterprise challenge, to a full-year accredited programme and different options feature master-classes, guest speakers, workshop visits and opportunities to earn on-going royalty fees.

Accreditation / 1-2-1 mentoring can be provided as part of this programme if required.

Cultural Understanding & Awareness

Unleash learners creative abilities by exploring the exciting art of cultural craft & jewellery making, in this fabulous hands-on workshop which can be adapted to suit all ages and abilities.

Crafts are used by different cultures to convey ideas and concepts, to honour ancestors and revere or appease deities & spirits. The exotic array of materials used in cultural craft is both stimulating and fascinating.

Participants will design and make a piece of culturally inspired jewellery to keep and wear.

Creative Craft

Give your learners a fabulous new creative experience, for fun or profit.

One, three & five day options are available in a range of media including: jewellery-making, leathercraft, pottery & casting, glass painting, card-making & scrap-booking, mosaics, silk-painting & customizing fabrics.

The focus is firmly on the creative skills and participants will each design and make at least piece to keep or sell.

Longer accredited options & 1-2-1 mentoring are also available if required.
